I have the regrettable habit of attempting to attach meaning…to everything. Please forgive me, as I reflexively practice this habit on E1 of this series: Was it a stark and chilling indictment of the American medical elites, and their brazenly self absorbed, laconic and abstract response to suffering pandemic victims? Perhaps this piece meant (as it did to me, at that moment) that the best cure for what ails you is to and imbibe white lilac dispensed by a fetching tengu with a gift for circuit bending! Whether it’s meaning was lost on this simple observer, or more likely if it had none intended, it brought joy to me this midnight hour. I must have listened to minute 7:15-8:something about 30 times. I admit, it left me curled in the fetal position, sucking my thumb, and calling out in the night for my Dada… Three thumbs up! (on one hand, of course)

During the Black Plague, any putz with an inkling of medical knowledge could be commissioned as a medical representative of the government in order to ensure that everyone, regardless of class or cash, could see a doctor. On the other hand, wearing masks may have allowed women to enter a culturally masculine profession (like, I dunno, brewing beer – https://bigthink.com/scotty-hendricks/the-dark-history-of-women-witches-and-beer) and brought universal healthcare. Research has proven some folk remedies as very effective. No mention of the error rate. Anyways thank you and the experimental music scene wants writers like you.
