Installation: “Domestic” (2023)
Plastic, chair, light, and audio. A body cast using wrapping tape and tarps sits alone in an attic alcove, while a rumbling ambient drone introduces an imagined complaint by an unnamed domestic servant, observing that their masters regard them as a piece of furniture without thoughts or ambitions. And frankly, she prefers to be left out of their ninny conjectures.
Other artists preparing work in the space commented that it was terrifying and they were spooked when the narrative started. Success!
